Genertec Shenyang Machine Tool Launches 2026 “Work Safety Month” and Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Safety Training Base

SHENYANG, China — June 2, 2026 — On June 2, Genertec Shenyang Machine Tool officially launched its 2026 "Work Safety Month" campaign and held an inauguration ceremony for its newly completed Work Safety Training Base.

On June 2, Genertec Shenyang Machine Tool held the launch ceremony for its 2026 'Work Safety Month' campaign alongside the inauguration of its Work Safety Training Base. The event was attended by key leadership, including Guo Sheng, Secretary of the Party Committee; Xu Yongming, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Zhang Jifei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Qin Qin, Chief Accountant; and Vice General Managers Zhao Xujing and Chen Honghai. The ceremony was presided over by Vice General Manager Gai Liya. A total of 72 participants attended, including main heads of functional departments, operational centers, branch plants, and production workshops, as well as dedicated safety management personnel.
This June marks China's 25th national 'Work Safety Month,' centered around the theme: 'Everyone Speaks Safety, Everyone Knows Emergency Response — Investigating and Rectifying Risks and Hidden Hazards.' Closely aligning with this theme, the company strategically synchronized the launch ceremony with the official opening of the training base, marking a pivotal shift in safety training from traditional lecture-based learning to an immersive and hands-on practical approach.

"During his address, Guo Sheng emphasized that work safety is a critical political responsibility that state-owned enterprises must firmly uphold, serving as the foundational baseline for the company's high-quality development. He outlined three core requirements for conducting the 'Work Safety Month' initiatives effectively:
  • 1.Strengthen Mission and Commitment: Prioritize employee life and safety above all else, maintaining a state of constant vigilance regarding safety protocols.
  • 2.Adopt a Problem-Oriented Approach: Focus on weak links and deficiencies to accurately identify hidden risks, analyze root causes thoroughly, and implement practical, effective countermeasures.
  • 3.Align with the Core Theme: Enforce safety accountability across all personnel ranks, refine the five-tier inspection mechanism, deepen safety culture construction, and comprehensively elevate intrinsic safety levels."

Aligning with the campaign’s core theme, General Manager Xu Yongming outlined nine key focus areas for “Work Safety Month”:

    • Mobilizing personnel across the organization comprehensively

    • Conducting specialized study sessions and promotional activities

    • Organizing thematic publicity campaigns

    • Rolling out rotational training at the practical training base

    • Executing targeted inspections and rectifications for hazardous chemicals

    • Deepening investigations to eliminate safety risks and hidden hazards

    • Participating in the National Online Public Welfare Campaign for Work Safety

    • Accelerating the final sprint toward completing tasks under the Three-Year Action Plan for Root-Cause Safety Rectification

    • Organizing participation in the 4th “Genertec Machine Tool Cup” Advanced Individual Selection

He stressed that the company must leverage the launch of the new training base as an opportunity to transform employee mindsets from compliance (“I am required to be safe”) to proactive awareness (“I want to be safe, and I know how to be safe”), ensuring all measures yield tangible results.

Vice General Manager Gai Liya communicated the spirit of the Genertec Group’s overarching ‘Work Safety Month’ kickoff meeting and delivered a briefing on the infrastructure of the newly inaugurated Work Safety Training Base.

Spanning an area of 102 square meters, the facility features four main functional modules: Virtual Reality (VR) Fire Extinguishing, AED Emergency First Aid, Wire Rope Safety Operations, and Simulated Fire Escape Evacuation. By blending VR simulation with real-world operations, the base effectively overcomes the limitations of conventional safety training that often ’emphasize theory over practice,’ providing all personnel with a standardized, auditable, and practical hands-on training platform.

Following the ceremony, attendees observed the inaugural emergency response drill conducted inside the new facility. Moving forward, Genertec Shenyang Machine Tool will progressively roll out a series of corporate activities, including safety knowledge competitions, a ‘Snap-and-Report’ hazard campaign, an Emergency Drill Week, and team-level micro-classrooms. These efforts aim to foster a pervasive culture where safety is universally understood and practiced, reinforcing a robust security barrier for high-quality corporate growth.
